About John:

John’s insurance career began in 1994, after graduating with his Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Central Florida. He established Tankersley Insurance Group in 2001. In the fall of 2004 he partnered with Frank Russo to form Florida Insurance Specialists. He is a proud member of FAMB, MBA, ORRA, NAPMW, FAIA and has served on multiple advisory councils for Florida property insurance companies. His remarkable networking efforts have enabled FIS to become one of the most well-known agencies in Florida.

He is an affiliate member of FAMP,MBA, NAPMW and has spoken hundreds of times at sales meetings for real estate offices and mortgage professionals, as well as local Board/Associations in Tampa, West Volusia and Naples. In addition, he has taught property insurance classes at the Climer Real Estate School, and also done the ignite classes for Keller Williams offices.
