Andrew Wooten is the President of Safety Awareness Firearms Education (S.A.F.E.), and has been in the safety and security industry for the past twenty-four years. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Master in Education. Mr. Wooten’s experience consists of education and training in crime prevention and security management that has earned him many professional certifications in his field. He has provided safety programs internationally since 1984 and provides practical advice about security, crime, loss prevention, and avoiding liability. His main office is located in Jacksonville, Florida.
He has conducted over six thousand training programs worldwide. He is considered to be an expert in the fields of safety and security, crime and loss prevention, and specializes in the anticipation, recognition, and prevention of crime on most property types. He is available to consult with business owners, managers, insurance agencies, etc. Mr. Wooten will also consult with the media, attorneys, and testify as an expert security witness.
Mr. Wooten is an internationally known author, trainer, and speaker. He is often asked to speak at conferences and corporate seminars and has consulted with and appeared on many radio and television shows.
Experience
Throughout his career he has developed cost effective security programs for numerous small, medium, and large commercial properties and for many known corporations. He has thousands of hours of hands-on experience working with the people who commit crimes and the survival of criminals. He is a frequent speaker on the subjects of crime prevention, corporate and retail security, and premises liability and has consulted with or appeared on many radio and television shows.
He has earned a solid reputation for conceiving solutions that are practical, reasonable, and effective. This is due to him having already "been there" dealing with the knowledge that security programs must interface with the asset protected. He is currently working on his first book entitled the Perception of Safety, due for release in 2008.
